The American Council of Engineering Companies of San Antonio is comprised of more than 90 consulting engineering firms representing more than 2,000 engineers in the San Antonio area. Founded in the mid 1990s, the owners, principals, managers and leaders of member firms participate in activities that strengthen business practices and promote our industry. Employees of ACEC San Antonio member firms participate in a wide range of activities and groups that lead to new contacts, innovative ideas, business development opportunities, and increased knowledge of our area business and political environment – all of which improves our industry’s economic status and helps develop solid relationships with clients and public agencies.

Established in 1966, ACEC Texas is the only statewide organization committed to the business of consulting engineering. Consulting engineers’ specialties encompass the spectrum of engineering technology. ACEC Texas is devoted to the advancement of the practice of consulting engineering, to the promotion of private enterprise, protection of public welfare, and to the improvement of the economic status of professional engineers engaged in the practice of consulting engineering. Legislative and Political Advocacy
ACEC Texas advocates for consulting engineers’ interests before the Texas Legislature and State Agencies on issues such as privatization, governmental competition, tort reform, procurement matters, professional issues and others. By joining ACEC San Antonio your firm can participate on the State Public Policy Council. ACEC San Antonio furthers that advocacy on important local issues with members of City Council, Bexar County Commissioners and other local agencies and public policy leaders, assuring members are represented at all levels.

Monthly Member Meetings

ACEC San Antonio and ACEC Texas keep consulting engineers informed of the latest news and developments in Texas and in the nation that affect consulting engineers business and professional practices through frequent updates and announcements.

San Antonio members can participate in the wide range of seminars, publications and training programs, offered through ACEC Texas and through ACEC San Antonio. The programs address all phases of business operations, from human resources to financial practices to automation.
